Like I said from the end of the regular season. The Cards are real and will win the series. I told New Yorkers and then I told the Detroiters. I wish I put money on it. Congratulations to St. Louis and the Cardinals organization.

Matt- I see that you are not a baseball fan. Remember this is the same team that won over 100 games the last two seasons. They were hurt most of this season that caused them not to win 100 again. Also remember that at the first quarter of the season when the cardinals were healthy, they had the best record in baseball. To simply put it, they are the true world champions no matter what you believe.

Indeed. The Cardinals simply outplayed The Tigers.

I am proud of what my team did. Nothing can take away the great season they had.

Congraduations to St. Louis.

The St. Louis Cardinals simply outplayed the Detroit Tigers over the 5 games played. Congratulations to the Cardinals for being the World Series Champions.

Now, let's look at what really happened for the Cardinals this year. They were 4 games over .500 this year, not really that hot for a team that was in the World Series two years ago and has been a playoff team for the past decade.

Now, let's look at what really happened for the Tigers this year.
They nearly 30 games over .500 this year and only three seasons away from losing an American League record 119 games. The Tigers have not been to the playoffs since 1987 and have not finished above .500 since the early 1990's.

Which team is moving in the right direction?

not convinced that the cards or for real, but not a baseball fan. They went seven games against the new york mets, who had many injuries. The tigers beat the Yankees three games straight and the Yankees had no injuries, then swept the oakland A's. I think the cardinals got lucky, the only two players on their team that are good are Pujols and Carpenter, the rest are nobodys. The tigers have much better pitching, but they were overconfident, and their young players blew it, their experienced players like Rogers, Casey, and Guillen kept a level head and made the cards look like a AA team. If their young pitching staff and young hitters would not have made uncharacteristic mistakes they would have swept the cardinals.

I have been a diehard Tiger's fan from way back when and I will continue to be the rest of my life.

The Cardinals simply did a better job. I have to say Congratulations to the Cardinals, good game.

We Tiger fans can hold our heads high, we made it farther than anyone ever expected us to.

See you back out there next year.
