I've adopted a soldier overseas and I want to lift his spirits. I'm thinking a personal CD with some inspirational songs might help. You know, like Mariah Carey's "Hero" song. Songs like that. I really want to help him get thru this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've only heard from him once...he called to tell me he got the first package and thanked me. But haven't heard from him since. I guess he's just busy, because I haven't been notified.
And it's free. You can either sign up to "Adopt" where you send a card or letter every week and a package every month, or just be a "pen pal" and it's at your will!

My hubby is a Marine but all the songs I ever send him are love songs like Already There by Lonestar and I like Travelin' Soldier by Dixie Chicks but 8th of September by Big & Rich is a great song... you might try that.

i would just write him and tell him to write his top ten or how many songs he would like and tell him that you will send him those songs next time you write. But that would be good idea too. OH YEA LIKE THAT ONE GUY SAID SOME GAVE ALL BY BILLY RAY CYRUS that is a great song to send.
they would also like up to date songs as well too.

ok after searching for half-hour for this website i chanced on something for you and that i cried the 1st time I study this mans tale and heard the songs His call is Luke Stricklen so seem at his internet website and learn the way he wrote the songs and hear the songs or a minimum of area of a few. I dont like usa yet damn it is sturdy. the 1st link is for a srtical on him and the 2nd is his website controlled by way of his family members.
