I think every piece of literature I have encountered has left an impact of some kind on me, but one that will always stay with me is the book Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kayson. While the film was a well adapted peice, the narrative that Susanna created in the book itself hit me on a very personal and intense level. It seriously changed the way that I looked at my own issues and still do today.

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas by the fantastically aggressive Hunter S. Thompson. I was a young man, enrolled in the University of Sourthern California. The book was so vivid, colorful, and absolutlerly hilarious. Shortly after I became a junkie, wrote my own book and feel like my life has been a gas. Clean now, and looking back with sober eyes I believe that I wouldn't change a thing.

"John Lennon -
In his own write
A Spaniard and his works".

This is the true talent, capital "T" of John! It shows his prowess, style and exceptional mind mending, controlling and or thought provoking; all depending on your artistic nature.
Enjoy
It's a little hard to find these days, but you can probably find it on - line for the best price. I just re - bought it AGAIN! I've given away at least 4 or 5 copies and this time I could only find the hard cover at Barnes and Noble. The how it changed me is a lot deeper. I ended up a Lennon freak and found myself more open with people and their idea's and even ideals, which confused a lot of people, who refused to take a few minutes to converse with me.
I was already writting and when I found myself stagnate - I'd read some of John's work or listen to some of Jackson Brownes musical interpretation of the goings on of the moment in time. I wish you peace within yourself and success in all you set out to accomplish.

my name is dora, and i am from romania.. my favourite book is actually a sf series... it`s called dune and it was written by frank herbert.. it impressed me because of the writing stile.. not very complex and not cheap or superficial, but exactly right amount of information.. the story is great.. about the human civilisation and its ends or begginings (that depends on how you interpret the end of the seventh book, which is the last one).. it is a masterpiece of the human imagination, a creation of inteligence and fantasy .. it`s simply great.. and it changed me in the way of knowing that the human spirit can not be beaten, only if it surenders alone .. and the technology is not really a gift, it can also be a punishment for the mistakes that we make.

The book that had the biggest impact on me as a teenager was Animal Farm by George Orwell. I don’t know that it changed me, but it certainly made me realize a few things/think about things a little differently.

While I enjoy fiction books, they don't change or affect my life. I love so many books, but one that I enjoy over and over again, is a fun book, Suds in Your Eye, by Mary Lasswell, written during WWII

I read "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" in high school and that book really helped me realize the meaning of being yourself and that sometimes we all need to go our own way in order to grow....At the time it was life-altering for me. I'm trying to get my 14 year old daughter to read it, but it's not "exciting" enough for her. *sigh* now that I'm older, I found the "Celestine Prophesies" really hit a button with me.
