Agree, for the most part. If you don't know how to love yourself first, then how can you show love to someone else? but sometimes I think that giving to others does help you to take care of yourself...at least it does for me. Giving to others helps me to feel good about myself and helps me to feel like I am truly on this earth for a reason.

I agree....I mean I always took care of others first not myself and I liked that feeling but I was giving my happiness to everyone else and I started to become unhappy...It's like I couldnt find time to love myself with others I always had time. I realize I try to make others happy to much so I decided to care for myself first....so yeah it's better to take care of your self before you give to others... means I care for myself first I became more happier :)

good question. i would like to agree, but for some, it takes a lifetime for them to totally take care of themselves, so the rest are ignored. some are spending so much time taking care of others that they dont have time for themselves. the reason for that is usually no one else can or will. its those who sacrifice themselves for others are the ones who make the difference. most that ive known who take care of themselves first, continue to do just that.
