It is sad huh? It is because some people cannot justify it in concert with their religious beliefs. I consider my self religious and I believe discovery is one of God's gifts to us. And no, it is not killing babies!!!

I can say that many people who "oppose" it are only fearful (I am one of them). I am incredibly disturbed by the idea of embryonic stem cell research becasue it is so hard to draw a line morally on whether or not the cells are being harvested in a manner that is ethical. I am all for placental stem cell research as well as adult stem cell research.
It's much like the idea of cloning. What happens if the wrong person gets their hands on the technology? Where will that leave us?

If you get a chance, you might want to read My Sister's Keeper, by Jodi Piccult. It is about a family who creates a child (designer baby) so that their first child can have a perfect bone marrow transplant donor. It really delves into the emotional aspects of creating such a child. An excellent read.
Some people are just ignorant. Some are full of fear. For some it is religious and moral beliefs. The truth is, whenever something is created that can potentially do the kind of good this is and will do, it will also have the potential to do a lot of harm, and it will. There is always that dichotomy. My personal belief is everything is like that. The good will out weigh the bad.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOfhb
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Yes, I oppose in-vitro fertilization as well. I think you don't hear as much about it, or it's not as protested, because the motivation is helping a childless couple. Whereas the motivation for embryonic stem-cell research is the use of embryo's to possibly help in preventing or curing disease. We all understand the desire for a child, but it's more abhorrent to use unborn babies for research. But from the angle of pro-life...embryonic stem-cell research is as wrong as in-vitro fertilization. Both cause the unborn to die.

to explain it simply...
there are 2 types of stem cell research currently going on
1- is adult stem cell research, where all of the "cures" have come from
2- is embryonic stem cell research
it is the 2nd type that some people are opposing because apart from nothing have come from it... it entails the killing of human embryos...and they fear that it might evolve into human cloning
