It doesnt happen for everyone. With my last pregnancy i had no burning nipples. This time in the early stages i did get it. Every woman is different and we all get different symptoms.

Yes, yes and yes. Some changes you will notice in early pregnancy, sometimes even before you realise you missed your moontime are swollen breasts and nipples that are both itchy and extra sensitive, which tend to make them a little sore.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, try applying some chilled cabbage leaves to bring a little relief. This is also a good tip for sore breasts when breastfeeding.

Yes yes and yes. Its not just the nipples though its the breasts too. They whole breast feels sore, bloated and sensitive. This happens through the whole pregnancy for some. Remember every pregnancy is different. The best way for me to describe pregnancy is by saying your on a nine month period. Everything you feel during that one week a month your going to feel for nine months and probably worse.

It really depends on the woman. Some do and some don't. My first pregnancy my breasts were so sore that I woke up crying one night because I laid on them. My second pregnancy - they really weren't that sore. Not sure about the nipples though I really never paid any attention.

Both the nipples and breast became extremely sensitive.I have felt sensitive from the time I missed my period until now (3 months). I think that you sort of get used to it a little bit though.
I will not even let my husband touch me because everything hurts sooooo bad. :)

My nipples are not itchy yet....but they sure are tender and sore...
My breasts are tender and sore all over really.
I'm five weeks along.
You milk glands are producing.....this book I read said by your sixth week your boobs could expand a whole cup size.
What a joy to look forward to :(

i've heard definite yesses to this question when i did a search on it the other day.
the breast can be sore and the nipple can be sore, itchy, or have a tingling feeling.
i've also read that it will feel like an exxagerated feeling of how they feel before your period...
hope this helps.!!!

I didn't find that to be true. My breasts were tender, swollen, the whole breast not the nipple. Sometimes if you don't wear a bra they can hurt or from changing soap or fabric softener and you might be allergic. Have you changed anything?

From what I hear, that's the worst part! That's why a lot of women choose not to breast feed because their breasts are so tender, they couldnt imagine something latching onto them. Some women get more tender than others, I guess it all depends on your womanly body, hon. ;)
