need 2 understand the sports that was popular in different country...

*AFL - Australian Rules Football*
*Football(soccer)
*Cricket
*V8 Supercars(Aust. manufacturers Ford and Holden(GM) in a season of circuit & part road races all over the country(televised live)**.
...then I follow a bit of the NBA & NCAA Basketball Finals(don't watch too many games)...and Formula 1 racing(like the INDY cars)...I also watch the WWE - wrestling ocassionaly(as entertainment).

*I don't watch the Rugby Union or Rugby League(2 types of rugby). In Australia we have 4 football codes: Aussie Rules*** which is easily first in terms of viewers and League, Union and Soccer(football) and cricket(traditionally played in the summer months).
**Full size current year/model sedans, supertuned and strenghtened etc. Similar to NASCAR look, but on actual circuits & not tracks.
***Rugby is tradionally played in the northern states of New South Wales, A.C.T. & Queensland. While Victoria (where I am), Western Australia, South Australia & Tasmania is traditionally Aussie Rules...these days everyone watches and plays everything, but the majority of professional players for each sport are from those respective states.
I assumed u were from the States so I explained all the sports u may not know.

My country's flooded with soccer. You may catch NBA on the channels sometimes; golf, tennis and badminton too, but mostly soccer.
I don't watch sports cos I don't play any sports. I do not have the genes or the required motor skills for games.
By the way, I'm from Singapore.
