i wanna here what you think on something. How do you know God really exists? we grow up in a society were 2+2=4, but if we were to grow up in a society were they said 5+9= 1 then we would believe them because we wouldn't have anything else to show that there is a difference, but what if we are living a lie, we have grown up in this to society that says God is real, if we were to grow up somewhere else that said God didn't exist then we would believe them and say that anyone else who differs is talking crap. So to some up how do we know he really exists and that it isn't the society filling our heads with a load of crap. For me i believe in God but i wanna here what YOU think on all of this.

i don't know how to answer your question but, if someone said 5+9=1 you can just count that there is 14 and not 1. but i get what you are trying to say. like when people were making words they could have named a door, a rock, and a rock, a door.

I don't wonder if God exists, and I think it has to do with my age. I have seen so many wonders that only the perfect being could have created. Look at nature. How do the baby sea turtles know after they hatch to get to the sea as fast as they can from their nests in the sand. How is it that the Barn Swallows come here every year and make their nests, they work for days get their small portions of mud, taking it back and putting it in place until they have built the perfect nest for their own kind.
The Sun and Moon are so predictable, that no one questions whether or not they will appear when they are suppose to.
After I had my first child, I was absolutely amazed, and in my heart I knew that I would do anything within my power to protect my child.
Have you ever gotten down on your knees in prayer and prayed for help or guidance, and felt the tension leave your body, and after you finished, you knew that you had put your problem in the right hands?
I have many reasons that I believe in God and that after this life, there will be a much better place than this one.

Even though I don't like thinking much in the morning, I'll say this: when we're born, most of us are like a blank slate. Our brains are eager to learn, we don't know anything about the world, we're surrounded by people ready to force their opinions and ways on us, we pretty much gain their ignorance on things.
However, that's what growing up is for. For some people, with age comes a need to rebel and an urge to test the limits and what is accepted for fact-- or simply dismissed because it doesn't fit the rules.
I do think that if a baby was born in a completely different place-- say Bangladesh or something (I was born there), he would pretty much talk Bengali, take up their ways and views, etc. He'd probably believe in Allah, celebrated their holidays, wear the clothes they wear, etc.
That is what education is for! Education-- either from life or books-- help to open peoples' minds to new thoughts, ideas, etc. Learning is scary because it shows how much we don't know but it's also necessary. Learning helps to shed off what society forced on us.
Okay. That's all I can give you for now... :-)

I know there is a God I always have. Society tells us there isn't a God through actions and mass media more often than there is. If you read the Bible and actually study it. You'll find these issues are brought up often. I've always seen this question as. I'd rather be wrong in the end about God's exsistance that become nothing. Than the alternative.

Society can say whatever. I was raised and taught to look at the facts. Anybody can insist that 5 and 9 make one, but a wise person will look at the facts. Take five of anything and nine of the same and what do you have??? Definitely not 1. ( unless 5 means 0 and 9 means 1.....or vice versa :)
Same goes for the teaching of the existence of God. People can say whatever they want but a wise person will read the Bible and then watch events of the world unfold. Prophecies are coming true even in our day. The observant ones can see this.If one WANTS to know the truth....they'll see it .Facts stand firm. 5+9 = 14.....that's a fact. God exists.....fact.

When I began to believe in God it was a choice. I went to church even though my mother never forced me and I loved him so without any force. The way I know God is real because of the experiences in my life.
My sister had to get back into college and she couldn't pay her bill. So my mom takes all her paychecks from that month and pays the bill. This was around Christmas so we didn't get any presents also she thought all our bills would get cut off but they didn't. Also for the first time in seven years my father sent us presents. I know that my sister is goin to heaven she one of the best people I know.

Just for the record, one can believe in a "god" or "higher power"...without capitalization, since these are nouns, not proper nouns...and NOT be a christian.
My beliefs are based on my personal experience, and do not include churches or bibles. If god wanted everyone to practice one faith, god would have made ONE faith- but there are hundreds, so.....whaddaya do?

I have always questioned everything. I still do. I have prayed for answers and always felt like I never felt a strong urging like god was pushing me in any direction. But last year my daddy was dying of lung cancer in his home. We went to visit him. He couldn't set up in his chair, he couldn't eat, my husband had to pick him up like a rag doll. We had been told that lung cancer could be a horrible death. He would get to a point where he struggled to breath, he would fell like he was suffocating. I went home and prayed that night he would die before he got that bad. My mom called early the next morning to say he died. I felt grateful and glad. I still have many questions but I now know God is there.

Think about, how can science be real. Who even came up wiht 1+1=2. God did, that is why it is true. It is about Faith. if you do not have it then you need to get it. or you'll go to the bad place.
