Like the others have said, you would need something to make yours stand out. Most of the foods you mentioned are very common here. For example, there are tons of hot dogs here, but I have yet to find a kosher hot dog (I enjoy the taste...don't care about the kosher making aspect). Cold cuts, cheese, etc get old a lot quicker here than in the states. Tons of burgers here....taste just like the ones in the states--many are even better.

Permits and fees will be a lot easier and a lot less expensive than in the states.

i don't think your small restaurant would make a lot of money for the first few months because those kind of foods are quite common now in Phils. but if there is something different with your food, then you have a chance.
make sure you get the right location for your business and jazz up the place so people will get attracted to it and try it out. Filipinos like american foods.
If you have a close Filipino friend in Philippines, maybe he could help you out coz he will now the good places for you to put up your restaurant.
you would need a business permit from the City Hall of the city where you will put up your business. Then maybe you could inquire from the city hall if there any other permits of legal stuff you need to get.
Be wise and don't let yourself get cheated or what.

restaurants in the philippines is very diverse, whatever cuisine you want, there's a restaurant to cater your cravings! however, filipinos love to eat that's why the food businesses boom.

if you're planning to start you own business, you have to be unique or sell something unique. Competition is tight but there's a lot to of things to bank on. of course the food must be tasty and quite reasonable but we Filipinos also consider ambience and the service - value added services would be an edge.

hope this helps, goodluck!

you should offer something different since there are alot of american styled restaurants here--i.e. either make it really affordable,or make the serving size really big like in the u.s. or your food should taste REALLy good that it would be the talk of the town..check dti for the permits.good luck!
