I agree with you. Govt. has become involved in our sexual lives, married lives etc. However with no one caring about the spread of violence, drugs, etc...Big Brother will start to appear more, initially, in the form of security cameras everywhere.
More regulations & taxes will not solve things. However we will get more of both. Taxes to pay for Iraq/war and regulations for our increasingly Politically Correct govt.
Sadly most Americans are too dumb & dense to understand Thomas Jefferson. As my former Political Science professor said "political slogans work best at a sixth grade level."
The masses are already feared enough to do anything...by the time the masses rise up to stop Big Brother, all of our orgasms will already be taxed...! Even the ones we have in our sleep.
Think about it, the women do whatever the Politically Correct/media tells em to...and King George types control a lot others. Most of us are on Zombie control...fearing for our jobs which pay us up to 50% less than ten years ago.
I believe Jefferson also said whoever cares more about another country (Iraq) than their own is a traitor.

Nope!
Our prolems are a direct result of our idiot leaders and congressmen.
Our whole system need to be rebuild and rethought-- I mean we buy bonds from Federal Reserve (a privately held Organization) at a very high interest rate, just so they can print our money.
I mean it is totally within our constitution to print our own money but we do NOT--->why?
The last two presidents who either printed or attempted to print our own money were assasinated (Lincon and Garfield).

Obviously lots of people think so since we (the US) keep voting old, stupid people into government. Then, we (again, the US) keep voting in expensive programs and not holding them accountable. "We" also believe tons of hype, BS, and pseudo-scientific crap about the environment and allow it to control our lives.
We have exactly the government we want. I rarely/never vote for incumbents, NEVER vote for anything that costs the US a penny, and NEVER vote for a tax or tax increase.
As for others, who the hell knows. . .

No, big brother is using satellite, drones, computer tracking, phone tracking, (RFID, put into everything eventually and doing it now) and eventually chip implants to spy on us. I don't think we need higher taxes, so that they can have the money to watch their own citizens, and turn us into a police state.

...somebody needs to step up to the plate and undo all the unconstitutional legislation thats been put into effect for a starter ... then they need to go after the federal reserve board and cut their nuts off ... then they need to go after corporations that have sold out the american people and moved oversees and regulate the hell out of them ... thats just for starters to solve our problems ...
