No, you are making two mistakes. First, Hitler was not a genius only a consummate politician and all that entails. Do not mistake politics for genius. That's how I got GWB.
Second, Hitler's mistakes are over rated. He did what he could do and one thing led logically to another. Like this fallacy. If he had not persecuted the Jews he could have used the additional money, brain power and manpower to win the war in Russia. Anti-semitism was part of Hitlers reason for being, his personality. Or this one, If he had sent another armored division to Africa he would have defeated the British at El Alemein. Don't you think he, and certainly his generals knew that? They were unable to supply the troops they had in NA, let alone try to supply another 300 armored vehicles and 10,000 men. The amateur talks tactics, the politician talks strategy, the professional talks logistics.
Finally, if you take a real good look at the war in the east, It really wasn't that close. Stalin was prepared to withdraw as far as the Urals. Kruschev had already moved most of the Russian industry out of range.
Magic weapons? Yeh, but in order to produce advanced weapons, you have to give something up? What?

It depends on how you use the word genious. Obviously he was charismatic, and I would consider him a genious at persuading people to follow him - but that is probably where I would stop using that word. Beyond that , he was just the right person at the right time (Sorry everyone, that didn't come out the way I intended!)

i think since he was an artist in the beginning of his life he understood the human body and mind. that's why when he made all those speaches so many people rallied to him. he knew what gestures to use to make him look more powerful, he knew what the people wanted after the great war.
i think he was smart on how to make people feel and look stronger even though he is still evil.

i actually think he was kind of an idiot. not a genius. a lot of other people could have brought Germany into a new and better era. anyhow, he really didn't, since they had troubles again after he was outta there.

Hitler was a narcissistic murderer...not to mention a drug addict! Why does anyone care about the "enigma" that surrounds him? His life is simple to figure out....he tried to take over the world...and it didn't work out! End of story!
