I love everyone but I feel lonely sometimes b/c I am very distant from my family and they are distant towards me. They said they would help me in school and didint. My friends call less and less often. What would u do? Not worry about it or Do something about it? This is really important to me and I need peoples responses who have been thru the same thing to respond.

yep. My father in law hated im me for a long time it was not always like that though. It got so bad i almost cut his grandparents rights away bc of what he has done to me. I do not talk with my friends as much bc i am busy but if you want to talk to your friends more often just make plans like say every other weekend lets meet up for a mantanee. with your family try to find out what the problems is and try to patch it up. Maybe ask if they are willing to seek family counciling bc you do not want the family to split up.
Me and my father in law finally patched things up. We are nicer to each other now we just do not bring up the bad things anymore we kinda just leave it alone. He just stop being so nasty bc i think he knew he was wrong and he wanted to see his grandkids again.
I hope it works out for you.

I'm a college Freshman and it sounds like you are too but I bet your going to be fine. You need to make new friends and when the you really need some one your old friends will be more likely to listen than if you call them all the time. Family members are probably adjusting to life without you and they have each other there all the time and you aren't so you need to get used to the fact that they are moving on and you should. You can be close with your family and not talk to them everyday! They didn't help you with school and that is wrong so Talk to them about it, the why's and why not's. But at this point in your life it's time to start kindling new friendships, not putting all your gas on old one's that are dying.

I've been through it more than once. If any of your good friens start slipping away, stop them. Try to pull yourself back into life. It might be sort of difficult to call your friends and stuff. DO IT. you will regret it later if you dont, trust me.
