I recently decided to start seeing a therapist after my wife cheated on me with a man named Karl. The therapist talked to me for several 3 hour long sessions. I told him what was even worse then the cheating was how Karl, pretending to be a native american healer, conned me out of alot of money to 'treat' my wife while they were just having intercourse (see previous question) and Karl was not even a native american. I had only about 20,000 dollars left in the world. The therapist told me to write a check for that amount out to Karl and he would hold it for me, some type of advanced therapy. He said I wouldn't understand it until it was finished and then I would realize how it worked, so I did it. I just checked my account and the check as been cashed! Also, my therapist has the same last name as Karl, and kinda looks like him. Do you think he is his brother? And he gave the check to Karl, who cashed it? What am I going to go now? How can I get that money back, it was all I had?

Mate, what you have done is silly, you should have asked someone else first before writing a cheque. maybe speak to the police about this guy or call a current affair (news program in Australia) and get them to investiage this guy. but mate i am afraid you have lost your money and will probably never see it again.

Contact either the police or a lawyer. See if there is anyway possible you can catch this "Karl" guy, and have him sued for more than he's worth. Next time, don't trust anybody before checking thir credencials, legibility as a professional, and their University degrees. How did you end up meeting these fishy "professionals?" By word of the street?

This is kind of hard to answer. What I would do first is found out if Karl and the therapist did anything illegal and how illegal what he did was. Then talk to a proffessional in law and see if you can sue. You'll definitly get your money back if that works out.

Yes, it's far fetched enough, go ahead and write your novel.
However, the piddly sum of $20,000 doesn't fly. Who would set up a phony office, et al, for only $20,000 much less risk a therapy license. Next time you tell the story, the sum should be over a million, several millions if you look the part.

Okay, Mr. Dale Gribble, I suggest getting Hank involved. He is the type of guy who knows what he wants, and then goes and gets it. I am sorry about the trickery, from now on, don't go to any doctors, or therapists with the last name "Redcorn". And try to come up with some original questions, don't just recycle old TV plot lines, hoping that no one calls you out. Say hello to Bobby.

I do not know where you live but there are services in many nations where cheats are made to pay back with damages. This con man may have over powered your woman. The technique is simple. So try to investigate this man and save your wife in doing so

so sorry to hear about that, i believe the therapist has the check he's not affiliated with that karl. the therapist has used your situation unfortunately to abuse authority i would have it investigated get in touch with a hotline number to help you. or a free legal aid office to find options so you can get money . may you find true happiness , love.

You should contact the police and tell them that your therapist is a con man and that he conned you out of your money. Make a police report. And seek an attorney. To get your money back.

Have you been taking stupid pills? I have some swamp property I would like to sell to you.
If any of this is true, which I strongly doubt, put a stop payment on the check and report it to the police. It's a very old scam.
