Wow, you know I really gave this some thought. Everyone says Time heals all wounds. That is not a real answer to your question. The wounds will indeed heal but there's always going to be a small amount of pain if it was something big. I'm trying to learn to live with being molested as a child. I'm sure the wound will heal but I'm always going to feel some hurt. It would almost be abnormal if I didn't. And you know sometimes that hurt can be a good thing. Because of the hurt I feel, I really want to go out and help other people. Or you know, I still hurt when I remember what lead me to try to take my own life. It's good I still hurt a little because it reminds I need to make better choices.

If you work at it the pain will be easier to deal with and after awhile it's not going to bother you so much. But you've got to be realistic. It will never just go away. Don't let that depress you though. Hurt is an important part of life. Learn to use it in a good way.

I wish you luck in your quest to deal with your pain. Don't let it rule your life. Everything will work out in time.

It depends on the hurt. The pain of a loved one dying? No. But, it does get a lot easier with time. The pain of a break up? Absolutely goes away over time. After a while, you won't remember the pain as much as you will remember the "times" you had with an odd detachment to it all.

Time may heal most wounds or hurt but remember that you have a responsibility towards yourself to aid the healing process. If you do nothing about any given situation then it'll likely take ages before it completely fades away.

I suggest taking action to fill the gaps. The way you do so varies from person to person and your reply lies within your heart.

Be well.

Well just think of where people thought you'd finish before the season started, and you still have some great young pitching for years to come.

I'm still stuck in limbo somewheres trying to figure that one out... but i can tell you that Zoloft or Prozac and seeing a psychiatrist definitely help. so does prayer.

they say that time heals all wounds, but no one ever says how much time it will take.

no, it never will. just like all those memories. your head can selectively delete things you don't want to remember subconciously, but your heart can never do so. sigh. my hurt has been on for about 3 months, everytime it tell myself i'm happy, but its actually a pretense. a fake mask... somehow still, no matter how pain, you still have to move on.
