i don't feel safe while traveling by bus,some jerks make advances at me because i am alone,they occupy the seat in front of me and keep turning around often to look at me and no matter where i look they want to follow my gaze which is very irritating ,then they put their arms around the seat as if they were hugging me,i want this to stop,can you help me?

Take a course in self defense. This will give you more confidence. Wear an "ugly hat" and sweater or coat - make sure you are covered up and not presenting yourself out there as "available" when you get on the bus and don't look at the men. Read your Bible while you are riding the bus - it will scare them off - and it will give you strength. And, most important, when you are walking to and from the bus stop - walk with a determined "I'm in control - you can't mess with me" walk. Another hint I learned in a self defense class put on by a federal agency is carry your keys in your fist - with a key between each finger. Thay way, if someone trys to assault you - you have your keys ready to scratch their eyeballs or face.

Either don't travel alone or dress really bland , and don't wear makeup .
Always walk or talk with an air of alertness and confidence . Never look scared or whimpy . Carry pepper spray and speak up if they make you feel uncomfortable .

I believe these men feel you are attractive and wish that you would hug them back. but if this irritates you so much , just be honest with them and be kind in letting them know that you feel uncomfortable with them.
