The Bible clearly shows its stance on it. That does not mean God does not love homosexuals because he does love them. God loves everyone

Its just that some homosexuals think that since they can't help it, it means God created them that way and that maybe that's the way He wants them to be which is not true. If you do not want to live that lifestyle any more God can totally change you. Do not give up. There are stories of God changing people in such situations. You can be delivered. Also homosexuality could be demonic. I read a man being delivered in They Shall Expel Demons: What You Need to Know about Demons Your Invisible Enemies.

AMny of you all who are judging that I am judging if you want take a look at 1 Corinthians 5
Christians are to make a judgement to other christians. However we are not to judge those who aren't.
1 Corinthians 5:12-13 http://bibleresources.bible.com/passagesearchresults.php?passage1=1+Corinthians+5%3A12-13&version1=31
I was not trying to comdemn anyone but just get some understanding.
Also there are many preachers of the Bible that teach and read by studying the Greek, Hebrew, and other translations. So its not like they just take what they see, there is studying and meditating on words in the Bible.

Also what does the Bible mean by judging? I think one really has to study on it when they use it teach someone.
Here's the defintions of it:
http://www.answers.com/judging&r=67

I think if you look at defintion 2 b on there that maybe that was what was meant by judging because of what is written in 1 Corinthians 5 or at least one of the interpretations of what is meant by judging from the Bible .

However, If I have judged some people on here I am sorry. It is not my intention, I am just trying to get understanding.

Perhaps it's because what the translators and preachers offer as clear proof that God hates homosexuality is actually false.

Many of the verses that seem to indicate that homosexuality is wrong are actually mistranslations, which can be clearly identified as such, using a concordance such as Strongs. Some of the words translated as "homosexual" were in the original tongue, "temple prostitutes". Reading the original texts of Sodom and Gomorrah, it is quite easy to realize that there are alternate interpretations regarding what was sinfull. The act of rape, or inhospitality are just as likely to be the crimes which those two cities were punished for.

Please don't get all high and mighty, claiming a clear reading of the text as you are reading an interpreted text that is removed from the original tongue. People keep claiming a pure understanding of God's will when what they have is man's interpretation of a work written in other tongues, copied many times, assembled and originally written by man.

Before you claim what the Bible clearly condemns, please do the rest of us the courtesy of looking into the actual words and meanings, in the original languages, yourself. Look up the word homosexual in each of the passages, look at the original words, in the original languages, in the original context, and see if you still come up with the same meaning.

Until then, just from listening to preachers, just reading an English translation, you really don't know what you're talking about. If, after having done a thorough study of the subject, perhaps you'll have a leg to stand on.

Being a Pagan, I would bet that I've done a whole lot more study of the Bible than most Christians. I've looked at the Greek, and the Hebrew. What most people are reading in English doesn't fully correspond to what the original languages actually said.

Even more than that, the Hebrew texts were written in such a way that interpretation was part of the language. The written Hebrew language had no vowels, so adding the vowels was part of the job of the reader. Different vowels in a single word could yield dramatically different meanings.

Neither the Hebrew or the Greek texts used punctuation. Punctuation had to be added by the interpreters. Placing a comma or a period in various places can yield different meanings.

To claim that the English translation of the Bible is the accurate and perfect word of God implies that every writer, those that chose the Canon of the Bible, Those that interpreted the Bible in whatever translation you read, and the Printers, Typesetters, proofreaders ALL had to be divinely inspired as to have completed a work that is free from error, that perfectly reflects the word of God. Further, in claiming that you understand it, you are claiming that you are perfect in it's interpretation and application.

Take a few months, and pick up a decent Concordance, and go back to all of the verses that you THINK condemn homosexuality, and then got to the verses around them to get the full context; do some actual work, and then, when you fully understand every one of these verses, come back and tell us about them.

Firs of all the scriptures you referenced are for every one and not just for people you think are homosexual.

God created me this way and what some “conservative religious minds” can’t conceive is that we live with that truth and receive that truth of our lives instead of living a LIE as so many men and women who are on the DL. What religious rights zealots can’t understand is how we have reconciled our spirituality and our sexuality and we are not committing suicide from one end of the country to another. These types of people want others to believe that GLBT persons have no religious or spiritual connection with God. I see people are quick to label things demonic that which they don’t understand. There are some homosexuals who walk in Christian Love just as some heterosexuals. My sexuality is not a prerequisite for the Love of Jesus. My sexuality is not a determination as to whether or not I go to heaven. My sexuality is not to be used to deny me a place at the communion table – my bible and many others have a scripture that says “whosoever will, let them come.”

Katie M: you are correct. The bible was written by men and if some of these people would attend a History of Christianity class, they would find out just how much murder, rape, and mayhem was committed in the Name of Jesus –oh but they don’t want to talk about that.

Little Outlaw: Don’t go condemning people to hell – that’s not our job. Imbalance in the brain – can’t agree with that one – mine is balanced just right.

Deedledee: Add Romans 2:1 to that list

Peter: Take a bible course – Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of inhospitality and not homosexuality. What do you people think of the statement “I’ll send out my daughters”? What in the world do you think they were going to do with his daughters? Sit on the porch and get to know them? I don’t think so. Read the story again and don’t stop with Lot and his daughters leaving the city. If you read a little further, you’ll find instances of incest between Lot and his daughters. Hmmm, how some forget about that.

So Cook1, when you post such information regarding homosexuality and God – remember – none of us KNOW THE MIND OF GOD and when you see this ID answering, I’m coming for those who post mean spirited, religious, unintelligent biblical posting information and repeat only what they’ve heard others say without researching it for themselves. Okay, so I appreciate that you do not hate us. Can you appreciate that you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to being gay? It's not all about sex. It's about love and union with another soul. Your way would have one live a lonely solitary existence to please your interpretation of the Bible.

Further, Christ never proclaimed homosexuality a sin, and as far as the stories that do, you seem to be missing the reality that absolutely none are about two people of the same sex in a committed, loving relationship (okay, I don't care about Leviticus, that dude was wacked, never mind the evils of shellfish and the stoning he espoused, he listed all forms of incest except father-daughter, how twisted is that?). Genesis 19, Romans... are about rape, promiscuity and violence. Maybe try reading the actual words instead of comprehending only what you've been taught to believe. I also suggest that you recognize prejudice and discrimination when you read about homosexuals on religious sites - that's all that demonic horse doodoo is.

I feel you sin while you fail to Love. So to grasp wether or no longer you're sinning you ought to recognize what Love is. If you cross on what the Media painting Love as you wont have any predicament in any respect, however should you degree Love by means of what God asks you'll must be Very Knowledgeable and Wise within the approaches of Love to preclude Sin. Love is production and one of the vital Reasons homosexuality is viewed a sin by means of God is that during a gay Relationship God is excluded from the act of Love on account that one more human frame ( from us ) and Soul ( from God ) can't be created. When God took a rib from Adam to Create Eve, it used to be message that a guy with no girl isn't whole and girl with no guy isn't whole, When a husband and spouse come togethere in sexual union and create kids they're going to have the excellent viable threat of finding out the teachings of Love that God demands for us to study to develop spritually. There is so a lot more to it than simply this, however this isn't a well discussion board to talk about the theology of the Human Body. And in anwser to the First facet of your query, Yes you'll nonetheless feel in God and be gay, and you'll even cross to heaven if you're gay. Everyone can however few will. The "Reason" only some will decide upon to move, When you die, the whole lot you're will likely be uncovered by means of a Perfect gentle that allows you to shine by way of you. You will see your self measured towards perfection. Most will decide upon disguise within the shadows and ache of Hell on account that of the disgrace, and the ones which have been forgiven or decide upon to be forgiven will cross to the sunshine.

You are correct the bible does 'clearly' show it's stance on homosexuality as it is an abomination (Lev 18:22) and as the bible 'clearly' states this everyone should hate gay people end of story.

So that takes care of the gays, now lets start on those horrid people who eat oysters and other shell fish as the bible 'clearly' states that this is wrong (Lev 11. 10) and not to mention those who trim there hair (Lev 19 ,27) when shall we start picking on them?

I don't understand why so many people only pick on the gays, and don't pick on the shellfish eater's and the hair trimmers.

and lets not get started on the sinners who eat rare meat, everyone knows it is a sin to have any blood on meat when it is consumed - Leviticus again !

God is OK with a homosexual AS A person, but not the sin. It is not your right to judge. God did not call you to Judge only to witness and to testify. Leave the Judging to GOD.

Here is are some bible verses you left out

Matthew 7:2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you

because God did make me this way, personally i think y'all are going to be shocked when standing at the gates trying to get in and how you judged and treated me and mine comes back to haunt you. Jesus said nothing but to love and be good to one another, and God most definately multiple times said to he was the only judge. as for leviticus thats a list of mans laws at that time not Gods commandments, do you also believe slavery and ploygomy are good? or stoning adulterous wives and disobedient children, you CAN"T have it both ways either the bible is th law or its an analogy, it cant be only for the things y'all (conservative christians) disagree with. what about the gay marraige in the bible (oh yes it's in there start reading!) and lastly if homosexuality isn't natural why does it occur in all species on earth, God doesn't make mistakes, but he does make queers!

It's pretty funny that you should quote Romans. You might think about READING it. It would answer your question. What Paul says to the Romans in Chapter 2 is, in a nutshell, "You worry about YOUR relationship with God, and let your neighbor worry about HIS relationship with God." In fact, In Romans 2:1 Paul goes so far as to suggest that by judging your neighbor, you condemn yourself in God's eyes for the same crime that you are judging your neighbor for.

Bottom line, the bible says "Judge not..."I know you know the whole verse. yet I have always seen people judging others like you are doing, Do you think God is ok with you judging others and pointing your finger and quoting verses, it is not your place. yet go ahead and get up on your soap box and point out all the bad you see in others, maybe you should stop and take a look deep inside yourself, what is it about gays that really bothers you? hmmm... maybe, just maybe it is your hidden desires that scare you. maybe you really want out of the closet and are lashing out at others cause you think that that has tempted you when all along you are really a closet homosexual!!!
