ok so every time i go to play sims2 it crashes. itll load up to right after the little "movie in the begin'n, where the blue screen is. and then itll say its crashed and shut down.


its done this for a LONG time.
anyone know if theres somethin you have to buy to play it? a dell guy says theres somethin else besides the game that you need....?

ive done all that re & uninstalln, that doesnt work

First make sure you have all the system requirements, if you don't, then you now know your problem. The Sims 2 runs really hard on the graphics card of any system, so that's likely why the game is crashing. If you have the sys reqs, try a patch from the Maxis website, if that doesn't fix the problem uninstall the game and then reinstall it.

If you go to the sims2 website (look it up in a search engine), there's a patch you have to install to fix some problems with the game (like without the patch visitors to your house could steal your baby)

...and did you make sure you have all the requirements? especially the video card requirements?

Maybe uninstall and then reinstall it. sometimes that works.
