I can't imagine why you would want to walk around North Philadelphia considering there is nothing really there. Is it safe, yes. If you are looking for trouble, you will find trouble. Keep in mind that North Philadelphia includes multiple areas (i.e. Port Richmond, Fishtown, Northern Liberties).

It's no more dangerous Than the rest of the city. I went to Temple for years And grew up in Strawberry Mansion Never had a problem. If you go looking for trouble, you will find it. Many a suburb kid has gotten jacked trying to score drugs as they often do. Is strolling around 5th & Girard at 1 am the best thing to do? No......
