I am proud to be an American because it's the Land of the Free!
[Even though that Freedom has, today, brought in all those people who try to undermine the most basic things about this very Freedom by imposing their Restrictive Views; like their opposing the us of "God" in our Slogans, because they claim it's "offensive" to them!? (Recent moves by Islamic people who've migrated in.)]
I'm proud to be an American because this is the Land of Hope!
[The Land that has sheltered so many who were rejected by their own and given them a new life. Albeit at the cost of having also taken in the ingrates and traitors who supported the 9/11 and such other atrocities. Despite the fact that they came here begging for "Asylum"; and then showed their true colors by their their Anti American acts.]
I am proud to be an American because we all stand United!
[As shall be proven when we all stand together as a people and remove the undesirables from our Society.]
In God we Trust.
God bless America

PS,
I wonder if Sailcat remembers he has the right to leave? Hmm, but here are a few of his own "Questions" that should let us know the truth about him. "Why Yahoo Answers penalize an Avatar who ask a lot of question? Why "they" support the concept of getting points without making questions?" and "Where is the country of America? I can't find it in the world atlas."
Must say his English has improved since those days, eh?
Strange that someone who claims to be an American couldn't find his own Country in the Atlas?
This is one of the examples of the "ingrates and traitors" I referred to earlier.
Hmmmmm. Let's take a look at earlier "Questions" by Friends aka OK aka isaac c "When people say asians are smart, Do they mean eastern asians like chinese or western asians like iraqi?"
I guess we know where he's from, now, don't we?
Hey, Papa Bill, you've got a couple of orders for knuckle sandwiches !

I'm hella proud to be an American! Where there is conflict as one of you mentioned, we don't take crap from the others. We speak our mind. We freakin bomb the hell out of them with the greatest army in da world baby. I have to be proud of our guns!!! I could go on about how great it is to be free and say whatever I want, cause you know not everybody in this world can do whatever they want. And where there is something going on in the world we get involved and bomd the place and I after we bomb them they appreciate how we think. Sometime other peoples, they just don't know. Even though our history as a nation is about 200 years old and we might be immature next to the ancients over there in the others side of the atlantic, but they just don't know what they are doing. They need some of USA wisdom, ya know. That's why I think everybody loves us. God bless America.

i'm proud to be an american. we have a strong and rich history. our contry doesn't take any crap from anyone when it comes down to it. we say whats on our minds (at least we did before this pc bullshit came about) and we (again before the pc trend) were basically unapologetic about it. i like to think that americans know that they have a right to feel and say what they do even though they know it means that they have to put up with other people doing it too.
i'm also proud becuase we have many cultures in our country, cajun, indian, tejano, amish, yankees (boston, for example) and we still manage to get through how many years has it been without blowing each other up over petty crap. everytime i turn on the news and see that some middleeastern group is blowing up another because they don't liek thier way of life or religion i'm proud to come from here. i'm proud that we're more tolerant than that.
also, do we not just have the best fight song for a national anthem or what?

I am proud, grateful and happy to be an American. I love the freedom of movement, education opportunities, freedom of speech, the right to vote, owning property, investing, traveling, happy hour, enjoying my job, beautiful country from coast to coast, smart people, great music and other arts, excellent food, wonderful libraries, excellent traffic control...Leaving and returning home any time, seeing families out and about together, Having spirited political debates over coffee or beer... Choosing to participate or not participate in religion, democracy, capitalism can go on forever and ever.

Yes, we are proud of this country, what amazes me is that they can come on here and say that because our women don't wear a veil they are immoral and asking to be raped.
They can say the china or asia is smarter and that's ok, but my daughter got a violation when she said This country has inventors we are not stupid. Why did she get a violation for that when these people can put us down and we can't say anything to defend ourselves? I don't believe that is right.

My mom's ancestors fled religious persecution in Sweden; my dad's kinfolk didn't see a whole lot, other than wrenching poverty, available to them in northern Germany....but America _could be_ a golden land....
There's a number of glitches and problems---won't play the "love it or leave it" bit; darned if I'll abandon my land as long as I can still do something to help her---but it's great to live under the protections of the US Constitution, which is a really revolutionary document....

I am a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict and my father(RIP) was a vet of WWII.
WE were willing to fight for this country and if anyone wants to dispute this I'll be more than happy to give them a knuckle sandwich.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.
