Hello,
Yes, my hubby and I swaddled our twins before bedtime and we swaddled them until they were 5 months old.
We purchased these swaddling blankets from BabiesRUs and they worked quite well.
Here is the link to BabyRUs:

Yes, I am so glad you asked this question. I am a firm believer in swaddling. It really works to calm the babies and help them sleep for longer periods of time. I only wish I had swaddled my first daughter, life would of been easier. I have 4 month old daughter now and I swaddle her every night and at nap times. She is a great sleeper and she loves to be swaddled, even at four months. It is a great thing to do. Just make sure you swaddle them very tightly, because they feel secure whe you do this. And about what the other comment said.. You shouldn't worry about the babies suffocating. There really is no way this will happen if the blanket is tightly wrapped around them.
Also, I reccomend the book Happiest Baby On The Block, it talks all about swaddling and the benifits of it.
Good luck with your babies.

A lot of babies like to be swaddled. It makes them feel more secure. I swaddled until the baby started making it clear that they didn't want to be swaddled. I could see that they wanted their arms or legs free by the way they would resist when I would swaddle them. Sometimes they like when you only "swaddle" their lower half and keep their arms free as they get to be a month or so.

Ya we did swaddle before bed. Our baby was pretty easy. I think after 4 or 5 weeks we were pretty much done with the swaddling.

My baby was only swaddled once; at the Doctor's office, when he was in pain, to calm him down. I feel that the blanket being in the crib with my baby is a SIDS risk and have not made a practice of swaddling him.

I swaddled my youngest daughter until she was about 6 mos and started kicking the blankets off. It was what made her comfortable. I think you should go ahead and swaddle until the baby doesn't want it anymore. It keeps them warmer anyhow now that it's getting colder out.

I would have swaddled my babies as long as they wanted to be swaddled. I thought it was weird that neither one of my girls wanted to be swaddled and they liked their hands showing. I think that as long as the baby is compfortable and sleeping well- sweaddle them as long as they would like. Some people like their covers tucked in tight while others like their feet showing. Everybody is different.

I swaddled my little one for as long as she liked it. Yes they do recomend that you put nothing in with your baby to prevent choking and sids. My little girl slept in a bassanet next to me I would take the blanket out when she was good and asleep. We did not do this every night becuase it is true you need to let them learn to fall asleep on their own, or you will be pulling your hair out when they are older. We usually did it if she was having a bad day or didnt feel well. She did not really like it for too long around 4 mo or so she did really care for it.

I never swaddled my children because the blanket could become unraveled and suffocated my children. Just throw the sheets in the dryer to make them warm or put a heating blanket down to have warmt and take it off when you want to put the baby down.
