I feel like my life has been interesting. I have experienced alot of different events. I just dont know if it would be appealing to others.
Spending time incarcerated, loosing friends to drugs, bieng homeless, becoming a father, failed relationships, terrified parents, police raids on my house, attempted suicide, and identity theft scams are just a few of the things life has sent my way.
Despite all of that, I am now a responsible young man, loving father, and someone my parents can be proud of. Despite all of the negative issues I put myself through life has never been better!
I just feel like if I wrote this that people or families could learn alot.
If nothing else I know that people would enjoy all of the humorous stories that go along with the negative times. This book will not only show what can happen, and what will happen to you when you make bad decisions, but also that it is never to late to change and that there is always hope.

everything is interesting enough to write about if you can write about it the question is if it is interesting enough for people to read and the only way to know that is to have people read it and see. thats why writers are booms or busts

Books can be written about anything at all, but 2 become a bestseller people look for certain things in a book. There are tons of memoirs out there, and your book must have the factor that every publisher is looking for- it must be marketable and appealing to the readers of today. I would say go ahead with a few chapters, and see how publishers like it. It will take off from then on :) good luck. If any story can make it, yours can.

You gotta share your stories! You really do.
That is what you were meant to do with your life stories is to write a testimony so people can learn from it! If you've been there done that, what better way to help others and even save a few lives than to write about falling and meeting rock bottom, rising back up and overcoming the obstacles, trials and tribulations you've faced!!! That is a fantastic idea, you should considerate it.
Too many people filling in the blanks. Too many people not wanting to share knowledge, because they assume everyone must learn for themself. Too many therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors etc. writing books about things they really know nothing of. It's the people who have really lived these things are the ones who can really help!!!
Good luck!

Read books by either of these two authors:
Augusten Burroughs (Running With Scissors is about to open as a movie all over the place) but he has another called 'Magical Thinking' which is also awesome.
David Sedaris: 'Me Talk Pretty One Day' made me snort uncontrollably.
Both are sort of memoirs - read them and then decide if your life would interest others. And then write your book anyway.

The only problem is that no matter how intersting or inspiorations is it, unless you can make a connection with the reader, you book may "lack marketability".
However, not one to squelch creativitity, work up a solid three chapters and see if publishers might be interested in it

Write it and see what happens. People are always interested in success stories. You could also consider motivational speaking to teenagers - maybe they can learn from your experiences.
