When my daughter stopped nursing, I put her on the Similac soy stuff. Her pedi, said that was fine..She didn't have a problem. My son, was using the Enfamil LIPIL and threw up all the time, and I switched him to Similac Advance and now he is fine. I guess it just depends on the baby.

I started my 10 month old on soy formula which to me is harmless to their stomach and i recommend soy first so you can be worry free about the colic and your baby being gasie. And now that he is 10 months I put him on the Simalac Advance so he could get use to the milk base because when he turns 1 yrs old wic will only give you the milk vouchers unless the doctor says keep your baby on formula. but the soy formula is fine

I have heard if you take a prescription for a specific formula to the WIC office they have to let you get that kind. I have read a lot of bad things about soy formula. It is similar to estrogen so girls are developing too early and boys are developing breasts when they hit puberty. There is TONS of research on how soy is bad for children.

I havent heard any negatives about the soy formula in real life. Just recently I heard that too much soy may cause cancer, but what dosent anymore.
Why arent you breastfeeding? And if the Enfamil is working,I would do ANYTHING so that the baby has it.

The soy is good because most babys is lactost and cant keep down other milks but it takes a while for them to adapt to a new milk and some dont like it so you would then try pedia-lite or the assur milk but give the soy a chance you have my blessings good luck.

I used soy with my newborn -- the doctor did not recommend it but I tried it until I wanted my baby to drink a milk-based formula to get used to the transition to cow's milk eventually. She DID do better with the soy because it was easier for her to digest.

You need to contact your wics supervisor because that is incorrect if you have a doctors note saying that your baby needs this formula they have a process they go thru to get you that formula

if you do your homework on line you will see that soy milk can cause your child to grow up and have a nut allergy the funny thing is i didn't know this until i was doing research on my foster child's nut allergy and he was raised on soy milk......... stick with what is best......Isomil is the best.
