I am going to be sexy strawberry shortcake for a couple of halloween parties. I have a pair of white thighs highs with bows at the top that look great with the costume.Problem is I only have white open toed heels to wear with them and I don't really have $ to buy other shoes. I tried it on and my friend said it looked good but I have always been told not to wear any type of hose with open toed shoes. So is it ok to do since it is just a costume or is it always wrong no matter what?

it's going to be halloween, hun. you're going to see some scary **** and trust me, the last thing anyone's going to notice is your shoes. Especially men. They wont be able to remember.. anything.

If your shoes are fine, you're going to be perfect. Maybe it'll even make your shoes look close-toed. And, hey, your only other option is to ditch the pantyhose and they sound precious.

I guarentee the only person that will notice won't matter; she'll be the snotty girl sipping her fruity drink from a straw and .. you won't wanna talk to her anyway.

Have fun. And Happy Halloween.

Hookers don't wear anything on their legs, and that's what a woman in heels and a dress looks like with bare legs. No one is going to see your thi high stockings, especially if you wear the kind with a garter belt and keep them up high where they belong. I wear them to a cooperate office everyday, and nobody knows what they are, except I don't have wrinkly legs and complain all day long like the pantyhose ladies do. You can wear open toe heels, if you are wearing sandlefoot stockings in nude or tan, and they are ultra-sheer. Your legs will look finished and beautiful, and your toes will stay together instead of being splayed like a frog on your feet. You will look ladylike and sophisticated, and no one will know what you are wearing, except you look much better than the others. I have hav shoe sales women insist I put on those little foot-lets, because they refused to believe I was wearing nylons, that is how sheer they can be if you get the right kind.

That's not so true. Don't worry about that. It's a costume.

Plus, it's not really true anyway.
It depends on how open toed they are. But it's still not necessarily true. They are open toed heels, not sandals.

Sounds hot to me! Don't think too many people will be checking out the whole open toe thing, which IMO is way overrated. We guys love to see women dressed up as you described what you will be wearing. It's the women who will be doing (if any) trash talking. Screw what they say or think.....you'll be way too hot looking to even care!!!

Since its a costume I wouldnt worry about it if it looks fine.

However, any other time it would be a no no.
