Cami - short for camisole has spaghetti (thin) straps and many times lace accents....more feminine

Tank top has thicker straps, and sometimes looks like an undershirt.

The differences is in the straps mostly. Camisoles tend to have spaghetti like straps while tanks tops are usually wider. Also the materials can be very different. Camisoles tend to be made out of materials such as satins or silks, while tanks are mostly made of cotton.

traditionally speaking, a tank top has wide straps, like a guy's A-style t-shirt. A cami has spaghetti straps.

well if you have been on clothes website , it should have showed you the difference ,, a tank top has a wider strap , the cami is more of a spaghetti type strap, both are sleeveless

Tank tops usually have a "bra" built in; a cami is more lingerie related--usually looks prettier.

tanks are usually a cotton blend, while cami's are more like silky lingerie
