Both of my middle fingernails are "flat." This means whenever they get longer, they have these flat parts on them which kind of make them curve downward. I don't know why just my middle fingernails do this, but my pinky nail will every once in a while when it gets too long. Does this make sense? Any suggestions?

File them nicely, add polish if you like.

And....stop picking on youself....are you crazy?

My nails do the same thing, and I've not been able to find a real solution. What works best is to make sure my cuticles are well moisturized, use clear polish with no formeldahyde, and keep your nails trimmed fairly short and file in a squarer shape.

Although if anyone else has found a solution, I'm all ears.
