It really depends on the area, and the shift being worked. CNAs who work the midnight shift always get paid about $.75 to $1.50 more, because that's a heck of a shift! In the areas where I'm from (East Coast and Midwest), I've seen them be paid up to $13/hr. But where my hubby's from (California), he said they only make about $8 or $9/hr.
