Consider yourself very lucky! Even those braxton-hicks aka false contractions are terribly painful. You may not get contractions until 10 minutes before the onset of labor.

For me, my water broke with no contractions, although I was having braxton hicks for a couple of months.Do you feel any slight tightening low in your abdomen? Braxton hicks are a weird feeling--you might be feeling them and not realizing that's what it is.Anyway, as long as you're having regular check ups and all seems ok, just hang in there...it will be happening soon!Good luck to you!

Hello, I feel your frustration. I too are 39 weeks with my 4th child and I went over due for all of them. I went to my weekly app. today and the doctor said I haven't dilated or anything. I know how you feel. I was really looking forward to an October baby but once again I will have to wait until they induce me more than likely. You'll know a contraction when you feel one and more than likely if this is your first you won't feel them until you go into labor, Good Luck!

I never had braxton-hicks contractions and i went 4 days past my due with my third child. If this is your first it is very common to go past due date ,also your dates could beoff. Just remember you can't be pregnant for ever, nature nor the doctor will allow it.
