The goal post is 10 yards back into the endzone so you have 10 yards, plus the 7 for the hold, then the line of scrimage. If you kicked a field goal from the 30 yard line then you'd be kicking a 47 yard field goal.

The easiest way is to see where the holder spots the ball, then add ten yards for the length of the end zone. Most holders will sit 7 yards from the line of scrimmage, but the length of the field goal will depend on where the ball is set.

Hope this helps!

10 yards plus 7 from the hold. If you attempted a 30 yard field goal.

The goal post is 10 yards in the endzone.

Then it would be a 47 yard field goal.

Distance is from where the kicker makes contact with the ball.
