my son is stationed in hawaii, i want to get him a nice xm sattelite radio for xmas. the ads i have seen for subsciption cost all say things like, coast to coast, showing the continintal us. it is sattelite so its the same there right. stupid question i know, but info would be appriciated. thx.

I'd have to look into it, but the long and short of it is that there might only be one satellite and it might just be over the U.S. in a geostationary orbit.
UPDATE
No satellite in Hawaii or Alaska. I'll send you proof.

Not a stupid question, I think the radio will just pick up from the satellite over there. I do believe they work everywhere in the us. If it doesn't you can always return it.

You have to get a 24000 mile long wire for that radio to reach the satellite

if you are willing to send it to him like through the internet and all go to some website of these DHL services like Fedex and so but the most guaranteed way is to buy it and mail it to him through mail offices
