My husband and I are trying to concieve. I took a pregnancy test this afternoon and the test was postive. I then took another one, one hour later and it said neg???? What could this mean. I only have one symptom, I get nauses if I dont eat for more than like five hours.

Go buy another, but it is much more rare to get a false positive, fasle negs are some what common. I think you are going to have a baby! Conradulations Mommy

The first one is probably the one to go by. The HCG hormone is stronger in the body earlier in the day during the first several weeks of pregnancy. The directions on tests tell you take the test first thing in the morning for the most accurate reading.

Take one in the morning. I don't think it's possible to get a false positive. False negatives happen all the time especially in early pregnancy. The hormones the tests detect are lower, thats why morning urine is the best, it's more concentrated. I would tend to think you are.

Your hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day. It could be that they were just low when you took the second test. Take another test in the morning the first time you urinate. That's supposed to be the most accurate time for the at-home tests. Good luck!

The pregnancy test is pretty accurate, what you should do is goto the doctors office to get a blood test done. That is 100% accurate... Good Luck!!!!

if you got a positive the first time most likely you are pregnant i say go to the doctor and get a blood test that is the most accurate test

false positive are rear.false negative are more likely to happend because your hormones ..you should take another one if its positive you will no for sure if its negative then wait for maybe two weeks before taking another or call ur doctor...your probably pregnat though,,good luck

hcg levels in urine drop after each urination in early weeks of pregnancy....wait and re-test in the AM with first urine....HCG levels should have accumulated enough....OH YEAH CONGRATULATIONS AND HAVE A HAPPY HEALTHY 9 months.
