Well im trying to practice Canon rock and i was wandering if i have to tune my guitar my guitar is in basic tune so yeahhh i need some help or if i can keep it like that thats cool

you should get it tuned by a pro, or a music store that sells guitars and if you (or someone you know) have a piano, you can tune your guitar on the piano

I'm not familiar with the song you mention and IF I understand you correctly ...you're saying that your guitar IS in correct tune.. ie A-440... if thats the case and you're playing the proper chords BUT you're not sounding like the music when you play the song.. ... whats Prolly happening is that a LOT of bands lately have started playing their songs in what's called Drop-D.... which means they take their Top.. (the BIG string).. E string.. and drop it to be in tune with a D chord..... then play the song.. this (like I said has become popular sometimes cause it fits the vocals a lil better for the song... and for other reasons.. perhaps this is what your problem is???

spend $20 and get yourself a basic electronic tuner - a cheap Korg or Fender and save yourself a lot of guesswork
