Not clear what the question is. They certainly should accept YOUR culture on YOU. Understandably they might not like YOUR culture on THEM?

It could be good if you were to learn about THEIR culture; I am not suggesting that you adapt your ways to their culture. But it could be interesting learning about it and perhaps, in doing that, get to be friends with them. Also, then, they might also learn some of your country's culture ... again, not necessarily adapting to it but at least understanding it.

you're just as good as any other culture. So look at them strange about their culture, I hate the smell of "chitterlings" I'd never ever eat them.. Hey but I won't care if other people like them,and eat them. I'm white, but I've been raised and lived around Black's more than whites. White people don't accept me either. Iike I give a rat's ***My husband is black my kid's are mixed I'm white as snow. I've been through it all. So I say they can go their own way.. And I'll go mine.
