m weight of bullet ; v : speed of bullet
M weight of gun ; V : speed of gun after firing
m* vector v + M * vector V = vector zero
when a bullet explodes into 2 pieces :
m * vector v = m1* vector v1 + m2 * vector v2
m1,v1 weight and speed of the first piece
m2,v2 weight and speed of the second

you can use it with n pieces
good luck

v^2-u^2=2as
s=ut+1/2at^2
v=u+at

Where v is the final velocity in m/s, u the initial velocity, a the acceleration in m/s^2, s the distance travelled, and t the time in seconds. All other formulas are derived from these 3 basic forumulas.

I also suggest that if you want to have information similiar to this, log in to Google and search, for example: "projectile motion formulas". You'll be surprised how much info you can get from Google.
