Colic is hard.....you can try donnalix which is a natural medication taken before each feed......it helps with the wind....try to burp every 40mls of milk....and i found that if i put bubs head face down in the fold of my elbow and then had their tummy in my palm and rubbed their back the pressure on the tummy helps get the wind up also......your doing well and keep in mind most babies will grow out of colic buy the time they are 12-14 weeks.....so you havent got too long to go.....

I feel for you my son who is now 2 had colic.

1. Get the bottles with the bags in them so that you can remove all of the air from the formula.

2. I had to use a brand of formula called nutriamigin, forgive the spelling if it is wrong, it helped fill him up better because it was thicker and it is for babies with colic.

3. I burped him every 1 to 1.5 ounces

4. Gas drops are a life saver

5. slow classical music playing helped.

6. A bassinet that rocks itself can help arms do get tired.

7. I have not tried this one but I have heard that running a vacuum in an adjacent room can work.

I hope that some of this may be of use to you and Good luck.

Try using the mylacin drops for the gas, they work pretty well. I've also heard of this stuff called "Gripe Water" for colic. I've heard pretty good responses to that. My mom used catnip tea to help my colic when I was little, she swears by it, and I use it every now and then when my 3 month old gets colicky, and I agree - the catnip tea is good! (Just only give like an ounce of it, it helps ease the colicky symptoms and relaxes the body so the baby can sleep. Works perfect on adults too!)

I so feel your pain. my daughter just grew out of colic 2 months ago. it started at 3 1/2 weeks old and lasted up until she was 4 1/2 months old. She was allergic to the dairy that I was eating in my diet. I have since switched her to nestle good start after my milk dried up. Rocking, laying her face down across my forearm, the pressure of her body laying against my arm or leg helped to push the gas out, putting a towel in the dryer and heating it up and then placing the towel across my lap and her face down also. MYLACON drops!!!!! I also used gripe water they sell at grocery store and also online, specially used for colic and baby hiccups.

I also have a hot pack that is specially made for colic and infants that you place in the microwave for 30 seconds and place around the belly made by happy tummies if you need it I will gladly send it to you to try, and a hot water bottle also made by the same company.

Good luck and hope that this works. Nestle is good also, its what I'm using now :)

The Dr. Brown bottles aren't as complicated as they seem. We have a dishwasher so we just pop the parts in there and it's easy as that. Mine never had colic, but I do think you should try the gas drops. It has helped many babies.. and you don't have to try the brand-name. The other's just as good. Just a drop or two in each bottle before you shake it up. You'll be able to SEE the bubbles dissipate before you feed your child.

I answered a similar question like this awhile ago. Go to your nearest Walgreens and purchase Avent bottles. They work wonders! My grandson was just like your daughter, crying non-stop. It was so frustrating not being able to help him. Avent bottles are for colicky babies. They are around $5 a piece, but I promise you they are worth it. I hope that you try them because they really worked almost immediately for him. People who have never experienced colic can not imagine how hard it is on Mom and baby. You try medications, walking, rocking, singing etc. Its exhausting. If you can't find Avent bottles, you could try Dr. Browns. We didn't use them because they looked difficult to take care of. Anyway, Good Luck to you and your daughter.

Many children with colic calm down if they are rocked either in a cradle, a rocking chair or on your lap.

Some children feel better if they are carried in a sling on your stomach - your body heat and movement may help.

Some children feel comforted when wrapped in a blanket or held tightly.

Gently massaging your baby's tummy may help, because this is where the large intestine lies. Massage in a circle, moving your hand from left to right. Massaging in this direction can ease pain by helping your baby to pass wind.

Some parents find their baby is comforted by a car ride.

A baby can sometimes be soothed with music or monotonous sounds. It may help to sing to your child, which has the additional effect of helping to calm you too!

It may also help to:

get your child to drink milk slowly

burp your baby more often

sit your child straight while he or she eats (if old enough)

try a different product or brand if your child drinks powdered milk.

try different bottles Advent are good i used them on my baby.

Colic & bad gas are not the same thing, use infant mylcone according to directions, it does not go into blood stream so your baby can be given a dose @ every feeding! Works like Majic, I love this stuff!

Colic is pure hell. I am so sorry you are having to go through it. The only thing that I found that helped was Gripe Water. I used Baby Bliss brand and it really helped. I promise you this will pass.

Have you tried Mylacon drops, they work great. Also, feed her about two ounces of formula, burp her and repeat. Don't wait until the entire bottle is gone. When she really cries, try to lay her on her belly across your legs, and gently pat her back. Best of luck to you, I know how frustrating it can be.
