being a musician for a long time myself, im going to answer that from our perspective. when you first get with a girl, your the coolest person around. that lasts for a while and then jealousy sets in. if you play in a band, your going to get hit on, thats a given. they cant handle that and then they cant handle your bandmates either. then you hear those dreaded three words. quit the band. the greatest thing in the beginning has now turned into a nightmare. that happened time after time. people wonder why musicians go thru so many women. the divorce rate is high for other people,so add another 25% to the prospect of doom. most of my friends are musicians and only a few out of the many ive known have managed to keep a relationship. it wasnt an easy life, the good times were the best you could possibly imagine, but try to get a bank loan, and meeting the parents was like walking into a cage of hungry lions. i actually quit playing twice to try to keep a relationship going and when it met its demise, you know what i heard? well your not the same guy that i fell in love with. hey, no sh-t. and i wonder why.

Oh yes! I dated one for several years and have great memories of my time with him. My Dad is a musician so I am accustomed to the music scene and the politics envolved with dating the singer of a band (you know, gotta be able to ignore certain pesky female fans.)

Would I marry one? You bet!

;)

I wish I married a woman I was dating, she was a Psychitrist and about 17 years older than me. She was highly intelligent, personable, HOT!!, employed, held a medical degree. I pissed that all away in Fall of 2000, by not returning her phone calls.

A Musician... nah.. I dated a woman that was a bass player for a punk band, She was a pothead and totally anti-commitment and a loser.
