Star Wars. Titanic blew that gross out of the water (pun totally intended). However, in 2008 The Dark Knight passed Star Wars on the All-Time Gross list. Since then, Avatar is on track to beat Titanic and become the highest grossing movie ever.

Four stars.
One star would be like a kid's flick. You know, one of those movies that don't really have a point that entertain two year olds but bore everyone else? Two stars are so-so movies. Three stars means they're pretty good. Not Academy Award movies, but movies that have a good plot and everything. National Treasure and films like it may be a good example. Four stars are movies like Titanic, the Aviator and LOTR the Return of the King. AKA Academy-Award movies.

It depends who is rating the movie. Most of the reviews I read are out of 5 but I have seen some rated out of 10. You should check with the newspaper, web site or whatever to find out what their rating system means.
