I blame Bill Clinton, there I made five repuglican friends just by saying that, they all agree with me. It is Bill Clintons fault. Everything that happened in the last 100 years and every thing that will happen in the next 100 years will be his fault in their eyes. How dumb is that?

From the view point of an Independent:
"Reason" is obviously a pretty subjective term.
Phrases such as, "The conspiracy nuts are out tonight," did not arbitrarily come from some ones vivid imagination - but rather some of the absolutely anti-American conspiracies certainly did.
Shopping at Walmart has little, in my opinion, to do with politics - and much to do with corporate greed.
Irregardless of what political affiliation is in charge on Capital Hill, I don't believe outsourcing and importing of goods will differ much.
If a national ID card will assure proper identification in the voting booths and address some of our illegal immigration concerns - what is the legitimate opposition? No one complains about a national Social Security Card - and, if privacy were an issue, that one example of a national identification would be at the forefront of opposition. Contrary to what you imply in your question, you will not need to produce a national ID card to shop at Walmart - or anywhere else, for that matter.
I don't see the political connection to what we eat in fast food establishments - judging from the recent French fry ingrediants fiasco at McDonalds, the goverment agencies involved don't impress me too much anyway.
In conclusion - there's so much rhetoric coming from both sides of the isle these days that it's getting damned hard to know exactly what either party's real agendas and policies are. That's especially true if one listens to the extreme right or left commentators. I do know one thing - United We Stand, and I'm sure you can complete that slogon.

The Right wing are what they always have been - people filled with insecure emotions, unstable, power-hungry and willing to sell out thier own to make a profit - be in Media, Academia, Politics and the wars they start.
They also have many sexual dysfunctions e.g. Foley.
