Is there a program somewhere out there that lets me use DVDs to make video clips? I want to make a special clip of the third Lion King movie but I only have the DVD, and no video of it, and no video capture device.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

there are several "free" dvd ripping programs. just google "dvd rip" or "dvd ripper" and pick one. some are better than others. copyrights mean that you can't do that legally. period. (without permission from the owner.. in this case.. disney) but they are rarely enforced for personal use only.

now.. if you have a setup like me.. i can actually plug in dvd players/vcrs, cable, etc.. anything really into my computer and "capture" the video. then i use Sony Vegas to edit it.

(you can get a cheap ati all-in-wonder graphics card that will do this for you)
