I voted on Tuesday and thought that is was rather convenient and saved me time instead of having to wait until Nov.

NO. Early Voting is not in all cities. It was just recently offered here in the state. There has always been absentee voting. This is early voting.

it's offered here. i voted on saturday. this was my first experience w/early voting. i think it's a good thing. keeps you from having to wait in line at the polls after work on election day.
opponents might argue that the real core of a political race happens in the two weeks leading up to the election and you might change your mind at the last minute. the senate race here (tn), for example, is really heating up right now. vicious ads from both sides, name-calling, you name it...
if you're fairly sure your candidate is the right one, however, early voting is a godsend. =)

Early voting is wonderful! It gives people more options of where to vote as well as when. It allows people who are busy, have children, are senior citizens, have full-time jobs (have I covered everyone yet?) the flexibilty of choosing when to vote. There are no lines to stand in (difficult for seniors and disabled) and everyone is happier when they vote.

Yes, and I think it's a good thing, but my opinion is that it should only be allowed about 2wks up till the election, so people are sure to hear from all sides.
