Today in my writing class we were talking about genders, sexual orientations and society, and my professor asked us what kinds of names men might be called if they don't "act like a man."
Someone said a "tool bag"...Everyone laughed except me because I didn't get it!!!!
What does it mean when you call someone a "tool bag"?

I don't think she needs to be reported at all...we were just having a mature discussion on how society might influence people's decisions and how the opposite might also be true...she is a very open-minded and respectful person...we were simply brain-storming and trying to come up with ideas for our next essay!

same as calling someone a 'tool'... you're calling them dumb...
a 'tool bag' may mean that it takes someone else, i.e. a woman to make them actually function.
it's not that funny so you didn't miss anything huge. in the moment i can see why it would get a chuckle...

I just saw a movie called, "The Garden of Good and Evil" in which there was a transvestite who told the courtroom he/she had a man's tool box but was female in every other way. The jury understood completely.
