There is a manual you can download from www.hp.com. Be careful when opening it because you can damage microcomponents inside the portable. Are you sure you want to open it. Portables are designed and built with miniturized components and once you damaged them, they are very expensive to replace. I Suggest take it to a certified technician.

If you are able to open the notebook, continue with caution, notebook's hardware are very sensitive, and are a little different configured than a desktop.
Many Laptops do let you easily add memory, replace the battery, replace wireless adapter, but that is almost about it.

Reason for opening the laptop? Maybe you should bring it in... to the Bust buy Geek squad, or if you don't have a Best buy in your area, visit their web site http://www.geeksquad.com/?PSRCH
