I really want to go on a vacation in the Summer! And I am trying to save money in advance. I really want my friends to make this trip with me, and i'm sure they will agree to go. The problem is, one of them doesn't have a job, and well....she's not really trying to find one either. She's in her late 20's (older than I am), and has never really been able to hold on to a job. So, I know how she is, and I doubt that she'd have the money by Summer time...as she is not employed. My question is, should I just try to save enough for the both of us, so that she can come along too? I know she is really going to want to go....I am just not sure how much it'd set me back trying to pay for her to come along as well. Would you do this, or should she stay at home if she can't afford to pay? I know that she is going to want to come, and I am not sure if it would be fair to leave her at home. What would you do?

I'd like to go to, can you front my portion, to?

Do not pay for your friend. Why should you work to pay for you and her? Tell her about the trip and maybe that will be initiative for her to get a J-O-B. If you pay her way she will NEVER get and keep a job. Why should she if other people pay her way?

Fair is fair, you work hard and you get the reward.

If you really want her to go along then you can foot some of the bill but she should make an effort to shoulder some of the expenses. It would not look nice especially for the other who are paying for themselves.. And besides this would serve as precedent for her to totally depend on you the next time a situation like this comes up. Just help her but don't spend for everything..

Yes you should leave her home if she really wants to go than maybe she should get off her a** and look for a job. I would go without her just to show her the things you get to do when you have a job.

She wont hold a job because everyone keeps doing everything for her. Dont pay for this. I know you want her to go but if its an incentive, maybe she will get off her as* and get a job so she can go.

NOPE cause then you will have to pay for everything while you are there. Let her know if she wants to go she has to come up with the money to go. But dont do it for her, you will end up regretting it. Shes old enough to get a job, and if she wants to go that bad, she will get a job. dont let her mooch off of ya.

let her know far enough in advance what you are wanting to do if she wants to go bad enough she will find and keep a job in order to be able to go with you. It's not fair, and might become a habit of hers to continue to let you pay for everything you do together.

Not unless you truly trust that friend and believe they would do the same for you in return down the road.

I would personally for my bf if we were going on vacation together, but only because I trust her 110% and know she would eventually pay me back. Otherwise, I'd see it as a gift.

No if she really isn't looking and can't hold down one. Then its not worth the extra work.

if she really wanted to go - the girl would get off her rear end and get a job.... it's nice that you want to help but help someone who really needs it!
