He didn't write any books directly about 9/11. He's only published two books since 9/11 - Red Rabbit and The Teeth of the Tiger, both which have nothing to do with 9/11 or anything similar.

You're probably referring to his novel Debt of Honor, published in 1994 which features a war between the US and Japan. At the end of the book a Japanese airline pilot crashes a Boeing 747 into the US Capitol during a joint session of Congress with the President attending. Most of Congress and the President is killed. Jack Ryan who recently reluctantly agreed to replace the Vice President suddenly becomes the president, which is continued in his next novel Executive Orders (1996).

Besides the ending, Debt of Honor is kind of boring. Executive Orders is one of his best novels.

attempt Robert Ludlum, Stephen Coonts, David Baldacci, Eric Van Lustbader, and Trevanian. all of them do thrillers, and a few predate Tom Clancy; he replaced into while in comparison with a number of them while his e book first got here out. Coonts does "techno-thrillers," heavy on the hardware, if that has charm. desire you stumble on somebody whose artwork you rejoice with! inclusive of your added suggestion, i might nevertheless advise Coonts. Jack Higgins did a pair of stable ones returned interior the day, however the previous few years they have been lackluster. He additionally did a stable one under Harry Patterson. Gayle Lynds is an up and comer interior the sphere, yet i've got not study any of those. nevertheless questioning approximately your quest. . . have you ever tried Dale Brown, W.E.B. Griffith, Nelson Demille, Harold Coyle, or David Poyner?
