Is there an organic, natural ingrediant deodorant that actually works? I tried one for the first time that doesn't contain aluminum chlorohydrate or propolene glycol, and it's absolutely worthless; I'm talking weaker than a flat soda!!! I'm not a sweaty, smelly guy, but I put this stuff on in the morning and my pits are funky again by 3 PM, and I've never had that problem before. I don't care if aluminum and propolene ARE bad for you, if I don't find an organic deodorant that performs, I'm going back to traditional anti-perspirants like Speed Stick or Old Spice! (No, this isn't meant to be a product advertisement!) Any advice?

Here is my UNFAILING method. if it's your underarms, then try lightly trimming the hairs, don't shave it raw - just a light touch trimming with a lady's razor or an electric moustache trimmer.

Wash underarms with any mild LIQUID soap, Apply PLENTY of the liquid soap. then, don't rinse off with water, INSTEAD, splash it off with plenty of ethyl alcohol. pat dry with towel. I promise you next 24 hours will be odor-free. This will solve your problem. Forget all commercial deodorants, they are all garbage & a waste.
Do let me know what happens & how you like it.

I was in an organic store today and didnt see anything about deoderants. They had tons of stuff but not what your looking for. Ill bet there out there and im sure there are some good ones. There like anything else, one will be better than the other. Dont give up yet. Go to a real organic store and ask the salesperson which is best. you might have to try 2 or 3 but its worth the extra trouble.

depends if you want an anti perspirant or a deoderant.

I don't know of any anti perspirant that is organic (they block your sweat glands so you don't sweat)

the only deoderant (stopping the smell) I know that you can make is make is made of 1 part talc powder, 1 part vaseline and 1 part baking soda. Mix together well. Take a bit on your finger and swipe your armpits.

Keep in mind that deodorants just fight the smell not the sweat. Once you sweat - done deal, game over. I agree with the first poster try Tom's and if that does not work - well find what's best with our body chemistry

My husband and use a deodrant that is made of mineral salt and water, thats it. Go to wal mart, it's a spray deodrant. for my husband it works great and he is a general contractor . it may have some to do with body chemistry also.

Sure, I think Tom's of Maine offers one. There's another brand too, but I can't think of the name at this time. Give it a try.
