Logan has always been more of a friend to Rogue than a boyfriend. I don't think Logan ever really felt like Rogue would ever be anything else to him other than a friend.

Well if you read the comic book Logan and Mystic are supposed to have had a child and that was Rouge. However, the movies ignore this and say she ran away from home. She hides out in the back of Logan's truck in the Movie. That's how they meet and he treats her like a daughter. But in the actual story she is his daughter.
But I guess the movie didn't want to get into that. But still maintain a bond between them.
