I had a bad (almost dangerous) accident tonight with trying to make popcorn "the old fashioned way" untop the stove. It heated up real fast, and to make a long story short.... my house quickly filled with thick smoke, and it wreaks in the house with that awful, permeating burnt popcorn smell! I doubt I'll be able to sleep tonight with that in the air, and I know from past experience it takes awhile for that to disapate. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to "clear the air" in here???? Thanks!

I suggest bowls of vinegar placed in various rooms if the smell is very strong. If baking soda works for refrigerators, it may work in rooms as well. Open windows, weather permitting.

OPEN THE DOORS AND WINDOWS AND LIGHT CANDLES. I'VE DONE THIS BEFORE WITH THE MICROWAVE POPCORN. EVEN IN THE WINTER IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO AIR THE HOUSE WITH THE DOOR OPEN.
