Possibly because there is no real definition for "employee abuse". Do you mean someone physically abused? Verbally? And if verbally, with no cause because the abuser is a nutcase, or a boss complaining because the employee just came in late for the 8th day in a row?

Everybody could have a different definition, so you're going to find it very difficult to get an answer to your question.

call you state labor board. they can file a complaint against the employer. first you call the labor board. then they send you the paper to fill out (if they feel your boss violated your rights). fill it out and send back to the labor board. do not tell anyone you are doing this because if you do, it will probably get back to your boss and he/she could make things harder on you. the labor board will then do an investigation. you should be able to find the phone number in the yellow pages in the government section under state, then labor board. it could take time to have the problem resolved. it might actually be a criminal charge (harassment) and you could go talk to a police officer about it. good luck
