Isolationists and I don't mean people who live away from other people. I'm talking about people who find an irrational level of safety in their environment.
For example, a lot of older people who are religious reject everything about religion if it goes against what they were taught. They're afraid that if they accept this new idea, they have to change other aspects in their life. While some might argue that change is good, people resist it like the plague.
Or another example. People who hero worship. They refuse to believe their person could do anything wrong. These people are afraid that their life represented something wrong. It's peace in ignorance.

Whoever listened to the people who said-
that we'd be greeted as liberators,
that we wouldn't need a lot of troops,
that Iraqi oil would pay for the war,
that the WMD's would be found,
that the looting wasn't problematic,
the mission was accomplished,
that the insurgency was in its last throes,
that things would get better after the people voted,
after the government was formed,
after we got Saddam,
after we got his kids,
after we got Zarqawi,
and that the whole bloody mess wouldn't turn into a civil war.

Bob Dylan sang:
You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time. But you can't fool all the people all the time.
Abraham Lincoln said that. I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, I said that.

That's easy!
Republicans can be fooled all the time.
An example would the fact that their party has been infiltrated and taken over by the Nazis yet they will swear to their deaths that they are the true Americans.
