I don't know of any who object to the the stem cell research itself, just the use of embryonic stem cells or the use of tax dollars in stem cell research. The Right to Life and other organizations and individuals argue that embryos are life and therefore shouldn't be exploited or used.
The other side of the argument was made concisely and with great respect for the other side by Michael J. Fox in his interview with Katie Couric. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/10/26/eveningnews/main2128188.shtml

Everyone supports stem cell research. Adult stem cell and embyical cord reasearch has showed great promice.
And everyone I know of is in favior of those.
Even the embyo stem cell gets an ok by most groups except some religous grouops as long as they don't demand public funding.

Go find some yourself, while you are at it--why don't you find someother way to find cures for certain diseases. These people are suffering and perhaps can be cured. The stem cells are useless to anyone or anything besides research, so what is your point? This is a really selfish stance. To take away medical research in order to fulfill religious arguments.
