Since you are being influenced by what your co-workers are doing, try some of the tobacco-less snuff substitutes available at most health food stores. It costs about the same and tastes good - has some of the same feel in the mouth - but absolutely no tobacco in it.

If you feel nervous and jittery when you try to go without tobacco, the herb Valerian helps. It is available at natural food stores in a capsule or liquid extract.

Also one of the things you get out of smokeless tobacco, believe it or not, is a raise in blood sugar. That's why many people who are determined to overcome the habit and use a nicotine patch - still can't quit. Recognizing this, you'll feel better while you quit if you'll take a supplement formulated to help balance your blood sugar & prevent sugar cravings.

There are a bunch of these at the health food store. Look for a product with cinnamon, chromium & gymnema sylvestra in it.

It is a tough one to beat. Look at like this. It is a lot harder to quit than smoking. Start smoking. You will get your nicotine and hate that you are a smoker. Then get the patches and use those to quit smoking. Smoking is easy to give up it your are motivated. The thing is you cant back slide and buy a can of snuff. One can and you will be hooked the gills.
